Blog #4 --Lollipop Chainsaw--

So I heard you like action games? I played Bayonetta and I adored it, and now this new game called Lollipop Chainsaw is coming out and it seems to be the coolest game of the year! I loved Sucker Punch as mentioned in an earlier blog, and there is something about girls kicking ass, zombie ass for that matter, with lollipops... man I bet they ripped SP off! :) Still, I'm so buying it. I also wanted Alice: Madness Returns. I'm hoping someone might already have it so I borrow it. I was wondering if I had a character as such in one of my books. I will have to contact my Character Reviser :P To all who read my blog, I wish to give you the chance to discover new things that I really enjoy learning about. Such as... Elliott Smith, whom I find to be the King of music for his time. Sadly, he died young, like Cobain, but his music still lives on. Listen to Figure 8 in your car while you drive from one place to another, it's really great :) For literature, I won't recommend you to read the Symposium, don't worry, but for a classic I recommend anything by D.H. Lawrence. Ahh... I remember when there were boys in my high-school reading Twilight and lovin' it more than a Big Mac at the time. I wonder what those boys are doing now... Nonetheless, I'm done for today. Thanks for following! :)

Character of the Day:
Rockwood Chapelon

Appearances: Pace
Bio: Rockwood is stoic, quiet, frosty, and coincidentally from Wint-Elle, the 'Winter' quarter of the Pace world. This corner looks like Russia but has Renaissance philosophy, architecture and values. Rockwood was the first to feel he Pacer call, which is invoked through the words of all others around him. Rockwood left Wint-Elle, which is unlikely of many to leave their Quarter and made it into Descent, the 'Fall' quarter of the world, where he started gathering others like him who could Pace themselves according to a personal rhythm or beat. Rockwood is the leader of the Pacers, often joined up with Dash, who cannot shut up. Rockwood comes from the Renaissance era and so is disturbed and intrigued by the way the girls dress in Sum-Elle, the post-contemporary era.

Blog #3 --Philosophy and E.M. Forster--

I started reading the Symposium by Plato on my free time. I don't think I can be more interested in the what some people call the driest of subjects. I find attraction in what others find tedious, telling myself I will NOT be bored. I think I'm part-hipster like that. *sigh* Also, I find myself really enjoying Oh Land's new Album, it's really great. Lollingly, I wrote very intense dark scenes for my book TAFOW to extremely happy songs of Oh Land such as White Nights. Nonetheless, the song is intense and epic! Apart from this, I find that my Professor at Bishop's Uni. Dr. Harvey White has got to be the awesomest prof I've ever had! He takes Philosophy of Religion and makes it soooo interesting it's craaazy! I want to know more about the Philosophers! Hence, the reading of Plato's works. I am now avidly absorbed in Lysis and the Symposium like a little Japanese school girl reading Shonen-ai for the first time. I heard about the Symposium for the first time in the movie Maurice based on the book by the same name written by the famous E.M. Forster, who also wrote A Passage to India. I feel like writing more in my book Shambles, which I started back in early 2009. It's so haaardd... the brick wall... :P My writer's block is killing me, but at once, I get to focus more on my studies! ;)

Character of the Day:
Santa Mancini

Appearances: Santa Forgives, Shambles.
Bio: Protagonist of Santa Forgives. Human, daughter of Claudio Mancini, Mafioso Importer at Venice port who is sent to St. Matthew's Residential, a lone and very secure school near Pisa. She is afraid to reveal her identity, when the people around her are trying to hide their own from her, until she realizes that she is one of the only humans in the school. She is guided into a strange faction run by an Adonis, Prince, who seems rather malevolent but is also incredibly delicious. Rumours travel through the school like wildfire and word of a strange young man who goes by the name of Moon City peaks Santa's curiosity.  Blood has a whole new meaning in this school drama that twists into a growing-up story involving supernatural humanoids with intriguing complexes. Follow Santa as she discovers the limits of her humanhood, and more.

Have a nice day! :)

Blog #2--Just an Idea...--

Although I believe it will we difficult, I am giving myself the resolution of writing 1 blog per day until I can't anymore. Of course, some days I will not go on my computer for X reasons, and I hope you'll forgive me. I keep thinking of my desire for a writing career and I really want to publish things that others don't and that could be insightful. I believe in the different perspectives of others and I can really teach a lot to adolescents through my characters. However, I do not know what kind of crowd I will appeal to; I am very fond of the dark, Gothic genre. Yet I digress, and for today, this is all I have to say :)

Character of the day:
Maurice Paradni

Appearances: Shambles, Maurizio, Cow-boy, TAOB, Everlasting Trilogy, Pillow Talk, Needle and Chain, Waxen Blood, We Were Three.
Bio: Pure-blooded, charismatic, kind and the representative for the Vampire division in the Jericho Republic, Maurice searches for answers of questions that have circulated around him ever since his birth a long, long time ago. Dominating, Maurice digs out information from all the elder monsters from times and eras before the one he lives in now, the 22nd century. Maurice is haunted by past memories that tend to manifest themselves within his own body and possess him at times where he is near Panpina Marcelo. He also thinks that he's a cow-boy.

Blog #1--About me--

First blog: Hello!
My name is Chloé. I live in Quebec, Canada and I speak mostly English. :P I am an aspiring writer with plenty of ideas I think the adolescent populace of this day and age (early 21st century) will enjoy. Though I am now growing older and the books that I've started writing a few years ago are already less appealing to me, and I am falling into the young adult and adult category. Philosophical questions and odd dynamics between characters are emerging more and more as I continue my daily writing. Now that I've created a whole universe, I just had to kick my butt and start editing. This, or find a friend at my Uni. that could edit my stuff for later credit. I want to publish and I heard creating a blog and getting followers was a good idea. Publishing companies want you to have a following to assure sales and maybe a niche. Ahh... a niche. Mine would be... quite nichie yes...
Small update: I've started 'Because Nom' which is my recipe blog posts with recipes in them. Enjoy!!
Larger update: Looking back on when I wrote this, I was a different individual. Nowadays, I'm more proocupied with the greater questions of the human being, why are we here? Who are we? I like to think that life is as easy as just finding happiness, being comfortable with your body, with your soul. However, like one of my friends told me yesterday, the only certainty is uncertainty. It's probably a quote from someone, but hey, I'm saying it now, doesn't that now make it mine? Don't worry, though, I haven't stopped writing. I still jump from reality to reality once in a while, suspending even my own disbelief. I am in Religion now, and I plan on going for a Masters degree, at least! in order to teach in a CEGEP. I would really like that. I don't know, maybe I'll upgrade to teaching in a University. I want to be the best I can be in what I really love. :3

Character of the day:
Trevor McAllinway

Appearances: Faceless, Shambles, Santa Forgives, Pillow Talk, Needle and Chain, Ashenlust.
Bio: Trevor has his own POV book, Faceless, where he discovers his homosexuality and has to deal with the pressure around this. One of my only slice-of-life books, but unlike Puzzle Days, Faceless has Werewolves as a supernatural undertone that does not really take over the plot but adds the sense of a greater picture that extends past Brattleboro, Vermont, where the book is set.

Hilariously, Sucker Punch came out with Lennox House in Brattleboro and one of my character actually goes to the asylum that B. was famous for having. I don't know if it's still up today. I was called Brattleboro Retreat. I love Insane Asylums! I can't stop thinking of Alistair Grout's audio diary now!!

Thanks for following! :)
