I know I wrote a blog about bothersome news and this type of news is bothersome, but I think it really needs to happen.
Recently there are a lot of articles about women coming out of the 'rape closet' and speaking out about men who have sexually abused them. (Then you have Shia LeBoeuf who comes in and ruins everything...) Honestly, I think it's great that the media is actually concerned with this type of thing, I have a feeling it might be tied in to a feminist movement, and well it definitely does have roots in a form of female sexual freedom. It's great that men are being called out on such a violent and brutal crime such as rape, or even molestation, pseudo-rape, etc. The worse is when it's done to teens or children. I think that if anyone would do anything criminal on a child or a young teen, they should definitely go to jail or be severely punished. I mean, we wonder where to get money? It's kind of base to minimalize it to this, but why not just burn the pockets of rapists? Fine them a million dollars and make them work community service all the while maybe trying to help them, but then they get out of jail, and they have nothing. Started from the bottom now we here, still at the bottom, because you suck, Drake. :P Nah, back on track! Also Maclean's magazine just published an article about female rapists (unfortunately it was focused on female-on-male rape, although it was about school teachers and teens, I was just sad that they didn't mention any woman-on-girl rape as well, because that is definitely a thing and it should be talked about). I want society to break the fear and the stigmas and the taboo concerning speaking out and up about rape, and not just about men but about the women who rape and molest as well. This is a heavy subject, but it's one of those necessities I think we should all become comfortable about speaking about. The more we speak about it openly, I think the less it will happen. Rapists and sex offenders, abusers, etc want to know that what they are doing is in secret, and most of the time they're not nymphos, they have huge domination issues concerning somthing that had likely happened to them in their past. I don't think rapists should be punished capitally because I really do think that they have mental diseases and can be helped, but let's take all their money, all their assets. The punishment societally that should happen should be great.
