Blog #8 --Poetry II--
It's been so long since I've played 'Loup-Garoup' or Agricola. I can't wait to play tonight at the Bishop's University Gamer's Club! What a nice place! People there are nice and you can play your games with your friends in a big room. It's really cool :p Also, I'm obsessing over Lollipop Chainsaw and re-watching the trailers fanatically. The worst part is that it'll be really expensive, like 70$ or something. :S I was also working on an essay today and I fell upon a Sylvia Plath poem. Here goes:
Mirror by Sylvia Plath
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
Whatever I see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful --
The eye of a little god, four-cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.
It's quite random, but I like it, like I've always loved Sylvia Plath's works. I'm a quarter through The Bell Jar, which I should really finish because it's awesome! I hate poetry, but I love Sylvia Plath because I understand, weirdly. I understand...HOLY SHIT! Just got back from the Gamer's Club, it was Amazing!! We played so many games of Loup-Garoup!!! AHHH! I screamed so much! I also realized that I'm past my due date for my post! Ahh! Oh well! Let's get on with the character!
Character of the day:
Jericho Hammond
Appearances: Shambles, Santa Forgives, TAFOW.
Bio: Jericho is Duke's son. He is born a Wolf-breed tainted with Vampiric power, therefore he is extremely powerful. Jericho, however, is not an Alpha, and relies on other Werewolves to be raised. Jericho never knows how his father and his mother met until long after his child years, when he starts to discover that he is not human. Duke and Stacy wished Jericho to feel what it would be like to be human until he would forevermore never be. Jericho is a character who lives on through the Apocalypse and who (though rebelling at times) loves his parents both very much. Thanks for following guys! Arh... it's late. Sleepy time. :) zzzz
